In the past we would place recruiting ads on big company gaming forums such as EA, Xbox.com, PlayStation.com and so on. I want to get away from that type of promotion. Faction 9 is a club and not a clan and clans use the word recruiting in their posts.

Faction 9 is much more then a clan, we are a community. When it comes to any promotion of Faction 9 I want members to use the words “Club” and/or “Community” and stay away from the word “recruiting.”

I understand that there will be some adjustment as many members are use to recruiting members. I don’t know about you but the word recruiting has a negative tone to it. Our community is a positive environment and I want to stay away from anything negative.

When your talking with someone about Faction 9 let them know that there are no tryouts. I’ve had people in the past asking me about trying out for the club or making comments about hoping they would be accepted. Faction 9 doesn’t do tryouts of any type. Once members register and follow the CODE of CONDUCT they are part of the group.
