Starting this September, Resistance 3 will require an online pass or PSN Pass to access multiplayer. The PSN Pass is included with all new copies of Resistance 3. However, if you prefer to buy the game used you will need to purchase the PSN Pass to access multiplayer.

Sony’s E3 press conference last week revealed the official name of the new PlayStation handheld gaming system, PlayStation Vita or PS Vita. That’s an interesting name for a handheld. It wasn’t as interesting as another announcement Sony had revealed regarding this new system, and will get to that in a moment.

The PlayStation Network is still not working despite claims from Sony that the service would be partially operational this past week. Even with those claims the network is still down, and it could be until the end of the month before service is restored.

We’re coming up on one week since the PlayStation Network was shutdown last Wednesday. Sony has provided very little on the subject other then the network is being re-built. Re-building a network doesn't sound as easy as re-building a kids swing set. I’m sure the level of frustration among PlayStation owners is at an all time high. There are more questions then answers to this issue.
